We had a fab time at the Open Day on Saturday, lots of youngsters making things and having a go on the sewing machines. Even really little ones could make the machine run by turning the hand wheel, so they all got a go, and it just goes to show; You’re never too young to learn to sew! Ethel, who is 9 years old is making a velvet scarf and Honey, who is 5, was turning the machine on by hand and stitching a piece of fabric. Although I do have children coming and doing one to one sewing sessions I reckon the young boy in the photo’s is the youngest by far…..
