This months Saturday make & take sessions, where you can make an item or garment in just one day, start to finish, covers making a cover for your sewing machine. This will help to keep the dust off your machine, protect it from spills and bumps, and also has pockets for storing your scissors and sewing bits and bobs.
What we will cover on this course is:
measuring your machine, drawing out your pattern pieces, talking through your instructions, adding a handle cut-out and storage pockets, cutting, pinning and sewing together, finishing off with a hem.
All you need to be able to do to attend this session is to be able to use your sewing machine to sew pretty much where you want to! We will show you the rest. Ideal as a progression course from our beginners sewing course.
This is a one day course but a slightly shorter length so runs from 11 to 4pm, costs £40 but includes fabric unless you have a particular style or colour in mind in which case we recommend you bring your own! Lunch is not included but is available locally from a wide range or eateries. There is ample parking nearby, some of it free.
