If you’ve mastered the basics like threading up and winding your bobbin, can sew simple items and are looking to do a little more, and get to grips with your machine then we can show you how.
The course runs for 2 hours and will cover:
Using different sewing machine feet: rolled hem, blind hem & more
Using different machine needles, including twin needle (used for hemming stretch fabrics and making pintucks)
Cleaning, defluffing and maintaining your machine, essential if you’d like to get the best from your machine.
Using correct thread and needle size for different fabrics, and how to gauge this.
If you’ve your own machine please do bring it along, and your instruction manual too if you’ve got one. Your instruction manual is invaluable as often machines will do things such as buttonholes in a slightly different way. Although we can figure this out, it’s quicker and easier if you can look at your manual.
As usual class sizes are small, so there’s lots of opportunity to ask questions and get individual attention as needed.
