Cheeky Sew and Sew are running a Beginners Crochet course on 21st Februay, at 10.30am, in partnership with Sam Parfitt from Stocking Stitch Studios. This course will cover:
Chain stitch and foundation rows
Double crochet stitch
Treble crochet stitch
How to choose the right yarn and hook for you and your project
How to improve your tension
The difference between English and American crochet stitch names
Basic pattern reading
The course teaches you everything you need to know to begin your journey into the world of crochet, and is also suitable for lapsed crocheters who need a refresher. Learn about different yarns and hooks, understand how stitches are formed, and put the skills you learn into practice using your choice of exclusive Stocking Stitch Studio pattern.
Class sizes are small, with a maximum of 6 people, meaning you will receive plenty of one-to-one time within the course and any questions you have will be able to be answered.
The course runs from 10.30am to 12.30am and costs £17 without materials or £20 with materials.
This includes all materials, exclusive information pack and pattern, refreshments, and online support once you have completed the course. If you would prefer to bring your own yarn and needles to this course, please bring a non-splitty double knit weight yarn with a high wool content (75%+) and a 4.5mm wooden or metal crochet hook.
